This Week’s Hints to help you along:
- We don’t know where to start with this — but it did fly.
- Designed before the Wright Brothers first came to Europe.
- A 35 hp motor with an inefficient four-bladed propeller.
- A single seater — but is this France, England or Germany?
So do you know what this aircraft is?

It is the Ensault-Pelterie R.E.P., about 1909, powered by the 30 hp air-cooled seven-cylinder engine built by E.P.
It is obviously a cheap harvesting machine. The pilot is to cheap to buy combine.
